Hello Senior A families,
Another week has come and gone and my gosh it has just flown by!
We had a very exciting weekend, kicking it off with Rookie day on Saturday, as well as the beginning of Alumni weekend! Your girls were so excited to reunite with alumni from across the years, and spend time catching up with them! We had a nice quiet evening activity where we wrote each other letters, a great way to continue to connect with each other!
We woke up to a rainy day on Sunday, however after a well deserved sleep in, (and a delicious brunch), the whole camp came together in the Rec Hall for an all camp movie! We enjoyed watching and singing along to Encanto together! After snack it was time to watch the spectacular Debs show, they performed ‘Tangled’ which the girls loved! The afternoon was spent in Creative Arts finalising all of our Birthday Night decorations. The girls have been working so hard to make this night so special!
Monday was arguably the most exciting day in the Senior A calendar - Birthday Night!!! The morning was spent participating in their usual schedule, I even got to join them down at the waterfront and go on the knee boards with them - SO fun!! In the afternoon we secretly set up our decorations on Lagoon Field, everything came together so well!! The night was a HUGE success! The girls put so much work into their song, skit, decorations, games and plaque - we are all so proud of them all! We started off the night on the porch of the Rec Hall where they did the grand reveal of our theme - Strawberry Shortcake (everybody loved the theme, and the claw clips were envied by the whole camp!). The girls performed their song and skit, unveiled their plaque, and then everyone headed down to the lagoon field to find their tables. The girls took turns to serve everyone their food in the kitchen, before getting to enjoy their meals with their friends. It was then time to sing happy birthday to all of the seasons. The cakes that they decorated were so cute!! Once everyone was full from cake, the camp split off into their seasons to learn their songs, while your girls busily set up their game rotations. The games were a bit hit! We had ‘Pin the cupcake on Strawberry Shortcake’, Statues, Memory Match, and Trivia. The girls were fantastic at facilitating these games, everyone loved them! We ended the night by coming back together as a whole camp to perform the seasonal songs. Overall the night was fantastic, we had so many compliments on how well the girls had done, couldn’t be prouder!!!
On Wednesday, some of the girls started a soccer intensive program, as well as some who participated in a cheerleading program. I had so many positive comments about the girls saying how great they are at giving it their all, and motivating each other! We ended Wednesday night with a very exciting whole camp activity… Cliff Broduer!! The girls decked themselves out in their plaid flannels and denim, and line danced the night away! Although it was hot, the girls had a great time!
Thursday unfortunately brought us some rain so we moved to a rainy day schedule which meant a sleep in! In the afternoon we all came together for Miss Romrecer! It was so much fun to see the girls come together and dress up their Romrecer! They were all so creative and had a blast doing it!!
That’s all from me for now! Make sure to check back in next week to hear all about Grandparents Visiting Day, and all of the other exciting things we have coming up!
Love and hugs from your girls!
