Hi Clubhouse families,
Another exciting and spirited week here at Camp Romaca, none of us can believe there are only 2 weeks left of camp. Our regular camp activities continued in full swing, with campers diving into everything from arts & crafts to water skiing and embracing the rhythm of daily camp life. In addition to our usual programming, we hosted two optional training intensives in Soccer and Cheerleading. Campers who chose to participate brought great enthusiasm and focus. Our soccer squad included Ellie S., Lily H., Polly, Remy, Sophia, and Taylor, while Jordyn stepped up as our resident cheer and stunt enthusiast—cheering her heart out!
One of the week’s standout events was Birthday Night, hosted by our incredible Senior A’s. In true Romaca tradition, campers dressed in their seasonal colors and traveled around camp with their “birth month” group. It was a great opportunity for campers of all ages to connect and discover they may have a birthday twin! And of course, it wouldn’t be Romaca’s Birthday Night without singing “Happy Birthday” four times… with four delicious cakes.
We also held the much-loved Romaca Horse Show, where our equestrians and stable staff proudly demonstrated the skills they’ve been building all summer. Special congratulations to Scarlett, who took home first place! It was a beautiful day marked by grace, grit, and lots of proud smiles. To round out the week, we enjoyed the annual Square Dancing Night with Cliff Brodeur, always a camp favorite. And we can’t forget one of the week’s most beloved traditions: Miss Romrecer! This year, our girls were matched with Maya Sloan, who hit the runway as Kesha. While they didn’t win, they had an absolute blast participating and cheering everyone on.
We’re so proud of all the girls accomplished this week and grateful for the lasting memories made together. As we close out the week, one thing is on everyone’s mind: the long-awaited Olympics breakout, expected any day now. Stay tuned, Clubhouse families—something exciting is coming soon!
With love,
Rachel
