Annex Week 5

Week 5 at camp was full of adventure! We packed in so many activities, celebrations, and moments that we know will be remembered for years to come.

We kicked off the week with Birthday Night! This is the time when every camper gets to have their special day celebrated right here at camp! From cakes to games, music, and lots of laughter, it was a great way to start the week and make sure everyone felt extra special!

Tuesday brought us to the stunning town of Great Barrington, where we spent the day hiking. The groups split up and made their way up the trail, taking in the breathtaking views along the way. There were waterfalls at every turn, and the air was filled with excitement (and maybe a little friendly competition). Shoutout to Vivian, who absolutely crushed it and was the fastest hiker in our division! If you’re looking for a trailblazer, she’s your girl!

Wednesday we made our way over to Greylock for brother/sister. It’s always so heartwarming to see the siblings enjoying a good meal together and their bonds grow stronger, even while away at camp.

Rain or shine, we’re always ready to go, and Thursday’s Ms. Romrecer was no exception. Despite the wet weather, the campers gave it their all, and Domingo took first place in a fierce competition. (Don’t worry Matt, we’re still glad she has you!) The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits one bit, even if it tried.

Friday was all about gymnastics, as we hosted the annual Romaca Gymnastics Invitational! It was a day full of amazing routines, incredible athletes, and friendly competition. We were so proud of all the girls who competed, showing off the skills they’ve been working on all summer. Their hard work really paid off, and it was a day of triumph for all of Romaca! The girls also made their way over to Windau, for a brother/sister lunch. They had a great time!

As we look ahead, there’s so much excitement building for Banquet. Our campers have been brainstorming ideas and working behind the scenes to make sure it’s an event to remember. We can’t wait for everyone to see the magic we’ve been creating!

Last but certainly not least, I’d like to send a special shoutout to Allegra, who has been going above and beyond in her soccer journey. She’s been away competing in various tournaments and showing incredible dedication to the sport. Allegra, we’re so proud of you!

We are dragging our feet in the pebbles, wanting time to slow down as we wrap up week 5. It’s been non-stop fun at camp and we are soaking in every moment together. We are excited to see what these last couple of weeks bring, and we’re ready for all the new memories we’re going to make!

With love,

The Annex Adventurous Mom
