Dear Sub families,
What a whirlwind Week 2 has been! We kicked things off with a bang (literally!) as we celebrated the 4th of July in true camp style. The highlight of the day had to be the hilarious and incredibly creative rap battles put on by our sub-seniors – their rhymes were on point! Then came “Paint Your Counselor,” a messy and memorable event where the girls were absolutely delighted in smothering my hair in paint. For dinner, we enjoyed a classic cookout, which was the perfect prelude to a spectacular fireworks display at Berkshire Bobs, lighting up the night sky with dazzling colors.
The weekend brought another burst of camp magic with our production of Cinderella! The girls put on an amazing show! Sunday offered a much-needed change of pace with a relaxed schedule, starting with a late wake-up and a delicious brunch. The day culminated in a cozy campfire, where everyone showcased their camp spirit wear. Afterward, at campfire, Bunk 16 were awarded the spirit banner from Romrec, and Monday morning, Bunk 15 were awarded the Romacan banner for the cleanest bunk the past week.
As the week progressed, everyone settled comfortably into their schedules, finding a rhythm that balanced activities with relaxation. Our evening activities were a huge hit, especially the thrilling scavenger hunt on Tuesday that had everyone working together, solving clues, and laughing their way across camp!
Our sub-seniors continued to showcase their athletic prowess at both a basketball tournament and a gymnastics competition! The fun continued with “Twin Night,” where creativity truly shone.
We all are excited for more camp magic going into week 3!
