Dear Sub families,
Arrival day was a whirlwind of excitement! Campers quickly found their bunks, delighted by their “Wicked” theme, and eagerly began unpacking. We celebrated with a delicious Pizza Friday before dressing up in our green spiritwear for a memorable first campfire, including wish night - where all the girls lit a candle in memory of Papa Bear and made a wish. Back in their bunks, the energy was still palpable, and the sound of laughter and chatting filled the night, a truly wholesome end to a perfect first day.
Saturday was packed with fun activities for the Sub-Seniors! They kicked off the day with soccer and creative arts, showcasing their talents before heading to play auditions in the afternoon. Dinner was a lively cookout featuring great music and ball games. The day was wrapped up with a special “Get to Know Your Counselor” evening activity, which ended a fantastic day on a warm note.
Sunday offered a more relaxed start with a late wake-up before getting ready for picture day. After a delicious brunch, the girls participated in a bonding activity where they set personal goals for the summer and shared what they were most excited about. Following a quick snack, they geared up for an exciting game of Predator, and then shifted gears to practice their skits for the upcoming “Get to Know Your Camper” event this evening.
The remainder of the week saw the girls into their regular schedules, with all their fun activities. The days were filled with tournaments and classes, while evenings were dedicated to play practice. All the Sub-Seniors embraced the first week of camp, forming new and stronger friendships and making the best memories!
xoxo, Abbie
