Hello Senior A families!
I can’t believe we are already coming to the end of week 3, camp is flying by!
This week was filled with so many fun and exciting things for your girls!
Over the weekend we spent lots of time at Greylock rehearsing their play “Teen Beach Movie”. It was so much fun to see the girls get into their characters and sing and dance. On Sunday they put on two fantastic performances for both Romaca and Greylock, they were a HUGE success! I was so proud of each and every one of them for stepping out onto the stage and giving it their all!
Monday was spent attending all of their usual activities, before attending Annex campfire. Campfires are definitely the highlight of my week - getting to hang out with the girls singing songs, and wearing our blue spirit wear with pride is so special! Tuesday was a BIG day - our hike! We got up early and packed our bags before heading up to Mt Greylock to begin the hike. Although there were lots of nerves and many “How much longer?” and “Are we there yet?” questions asked, the girls absolutely smashed it and made it up to the top in 1.5 hours! We then spent some time relaxing and regrouping for lunch and taking the beautiful view, before making the 1.5 hour descent. The van ride home was very quiet, with all of the girls catching up on some sleep before we stopped at Friendly’s for some well deserved Fribbles! I was so proud of the girls during and after the hike - they were so supportive of each other, and constantly encouraged each other (and us counselors) to keep going!
We also had many tournaments happening this week - a special shout out to the girls on the dance team who brought back 3 trophies: 1st place in Hip Hop, Jazz and 1st overall! SO exciting! Your girls have also been involved in tennis, softball, swim meets and lots more this week! Another highlight of course was DJ Jeff! WOW! We had so much fun dancing and singing the night away in the Rec Hall! Definitely a night to remember!
