Hello Senior A families!
What a week! We have had so many fun and amazing things going on at camp this week! Starting off strong with the Fourth of July celebrations. The girls spent the morning getting decked out in all of their red, white and blue; their outfits were so impressive! They all participated in a rap battle too, it was great to see the girls getting involved and sharing their ideas with each other. After lunch it was time for ‘Paint your counselor’, and let me tell you; the girls did not hold back!! They had so much fun covering us from head to toe in paint, laughing and giggling as we became no longer recognisable underneath all the paint! After washing off together in the lake it was time to get ready for our cookout, before heading over to Berkshire Bob’s for a fireworks show. Some girls decided to stay back at camp and hang out with friends while watching a movie! All of the girls had such a great night, watching the fireworks, singing songs and of course eating candy! Overall it was a fantastic Fourth of July, I loved spending my very first Fourth of July with your girls!!
There were so many other highlights this week! One being the arrival of Skylar L, who we have been very excitedly awaiting! It is so great to have our whole division together!! This week also saw your girls take part in their LipSync battles! They worked so well together to come up with song ideas and choreography, before going head to head in a knock out competition. We were also treated to a show put on by the Subs division, the girls were so supportive in cheering on their fellow Romacans! They also enjoyed a well needed sleep in on Sunday morning, before enjoying an extended Rec swim down at the waterfront - we have been blessed with great weather!! We also came together for our second campfire where the girls showed off their blue spirit wear! A special shoutout to the girls in Bunk 19 who were awarded both the spirit award, as well as the cleanest bunk award for week 1!
We also celebrated Twin Night this week! The girls got together with their camp sisters to create and come up with costumes which was so beautiful to see. They are such great role models for the younger girls at camp! They then strutted their stuff at the show, cheering each other on as they showcased their costumes. We had appearances from ‘stuffed animals’, Alvin and the Chipmunks, ‘illegal food’, Lilo and Stitch, and SO many more amazing creations!
This week also brought auditions for their play with Greylock! The girls were so excited to sing and dance in their auditions, before heading to Greylock on Friday to start rehearsals. I am so excited to see this show come to life over the weekend. Stay tuned for my blog next week where you will hear all about the show and the girls’ performances!
I can’t believe we were already nearing the end of week 2 of the summer! That’s all from me for now, sending love and hugs from your girls!
