Hello 2025 Senior A families!
Happy first week of summer! I hope you are all as excited about this summer as I am!
Arrival day was full of so much fun and excitement! It was so beautiful to see the girls reunite with their friends and councilors again! The energy at Romaca immediately shifted into a higher gear as the cars and buses rolled into the parking lot, and we greeted your gorgeous girls with plenty of songs and smiling faces! Definitely a day to remember!!
The girls were all so excited to see their bunks, make their beds and decorate their homes for the summer! Walking through the bunks there was lots of happy chatter about the year that was, and conversations about what the girls were most excited about this summer! Once they had settled in and unpacked, they were ready to deck themselves out in their spiritwear for our very first campfire! I loved seeing all of their costumes and onsies! We all received a candle and made a wish for the summer too.
The week was spent participating in fun activities such as ¨Get to know your councilor¨, ¨Get to know your camper¨, Predator, our first cookout, and so much more! During these activities, it was great to see girls from all divisions catching up and hanging out with each other! We have also had the opportunity to spend lots of time as a division, getting to know each other better and bonding as a group. I am loving getting to know each and every girl, and seeing their personalities shine!
The girls were also lucky enough to attend their first social of the summer with Greylock this week! We travelled over there and danced the night away! The girls had lots of fun and they are already looking forward to the next one next week!
The rest of the week was filled with so many fun activities, and it hasn´t taken long for this gorgeous group of girls to fully embrace the Camp Romaca ways. They have fully immersed themselves in all of their activities, such as tennis, creative arts, PAWS, waterfront and so much more!! It is great to see them getting involved in what they love, and how they are not afraid to try something new! We also had some girls attend some sports tournaments this week. The girls showed such great sportsmanship and had so much fun!
That’s all from me at the moment! Be sure to look out for my next post, I know it will be filled with lots of highlights about the Fourth of July, another social event, tournament updates and more!!
Hugs from Romaca,
Megan xo
