Inters Week 3

Hi Inters Families,

I hope you’ve been having a great summer. We definitely have been here at Romaca!! I can’t believe we’re nearing the halfway mark; time truly does fly when you’re having fun.

This past week has been jam packed for the Inters. They started the week off with Evening Activities like Campfire and a trip to Greylock to see the Senior A’s play. On Thursday, we had our annual DJ Jeff event, hosted in our Rec Hall. The girls absolutely loved staying up late and watching the cool, older girls dance! Along with DJ Jeff, we had other fun and exciting Evening Activities this week as well. From dress up kickball (where the girls played in costume by team for some very heated competition), to a divisional lip sync battle - this time by random group (versus by bunk, like we did for the “real” Lip Sync Battle), the girls have been keeping very busy here in Hinsdale.

During the daytime, our girls have been just as occupied. Between an Inters soccer tournament at Taconic and swim meets at both Greylock and Wahnee, the girls have been seizing all of our activities and what camp has to offer to its fullest. The fun never ends! Speaking of intercamps, we also hosted an Inters kickball tournament at Romaca AND went off camp for another Inters soccer tournament at Scatico last week (which unfortunately didn’t make it into my Week 2 blog post. Sorry!). The girls were so excited to rep the green and white both on camp and off as they practiced both their footwork and their teamwork :)

As you know, this weekend we have Visiting Day! I’m so excited to finally meet all of you in person, and I know your daughters are extremely excited to show you around their summer home. I truly love Visiting Day because it’s so special to see the ownership and pride the girls have over Romaca when they have visitors (like all of you!) here. They really walk around like they run the place, which is a rare feeling for girls as young as they are. I can’t wait for you to see their little corner of the sky over here in Hinsdale!

Ultimately though, I’d just like to thank you all for being so interested in and understanding of your girls’ summers at Romaca. They are so lucky to be at camp, and to have parents who choose to send them here!! See you soon.
