Hello Debs Families!
What a week it has been! The girls had such an amazing time this week having fun in the sun at their various activities. This past weekend, the Debs were able to watch some of their older camp sisters in the Annex show ¨The Greatest Showman¨ as well as the Senior As performing ¨Teen Beach Movie¨ at Camp Greylock. The girls had an absolute blast participating in International Day, where they were able to learn about the cultures of the staff from around the world and try things like berries and cream at the UK station and fairy bread at the Australia station! It was so nice to see the Debs appreciating the hard work of their counselors for the event and enjoying their treats.
Your girls were such rockstars in their respective tournaments this week as well! They swam, played tennis, and even got first place overall in the first dance competition of the summer! It was wonderful to hear all about their awesome accomplishments when they got back to camp. The girls have been hard at work finalizing their ideas and committee plans for Deb Carnival as well! We have our amazing theme and they are so ready to start bringing it to life in Creative Arts this week and the next.
Another exciting event that we had this week was DJ Jeff! On Thursday, the girls spent time decorating their new t-shirts with drawings, signing each other’s shirts and making cool cuts and tassels to make all of them unique to each individual. They then all practically sprinted to the Rec Hall after dinner to start the dance party! It was so awesome seeing the girls jumping around and dancing with each other and their camp sisters. They sang along to some favorites like ‘Taylor Swift’ and watched Romrec perform their famed “DJ Jeff dance”. This is such a fun and exciting event at camp and it was so great to see the girls come together and have a blast with one another. They are so excited for the weeks to come and I cannot wait to see what is in store for them next!
Overall, the girls had a wonderful time this week and they are all looking forward to seeing you all on Visiting Day!
