Hello again Debs Families!
I can hardly believe it is time for another blog! The girls have been having so much fun this week and I am very excited to share all of it with you! On Friday, we started our day getting ready for our Fourth of July celebrations! The girls all dressed in their best red, white and blue spirit wear as they chatted about all the fun things to come for the day. At the end of their cleanup period, the Debs all went to the Rec Hall porch where a favorite Romacan tradition was announced: Rap Battle. Each bunk was given a word to use in their song or rap that related to the Fourth of July! The girls all collaborated with one another as they wrote their songs before lunch.
After a yummy lunch of chicken tenders, fries and mac & cheese, the girls all performed their songs by bunk for the whole camp. I am once again so impressed with their creativity and songwriting skills! After Rap Battle, the girls all went down to the Waterfront where they had a blast at Paint Your Counselor. They painted myself and their counselors in red, white and blue as well as one another! To round off the night, we all attended an amazing firework show at Berkshire Bob’s. The girls had an absolute blast!
This weekend, the Debs participated in one of the favorite all-camp activities at Romaca: Lip Sync! They all had a wonderful time choreographing their own dances to songs to sing in front of the whole division. There was some very impressive lipsynching from the Debs and they had a great time cheering on the other divisions and their camp sisters! Speaking of camp sisters, the girls also showed off their creative skills last night for Twin Night! They each paired with their older camp sister to show off homemade costumes and props. Some of the highlights were Super Mario Bros., Cup of Noodles and Winnie the Pooh characters!
The girls have also decided on their Deb Carnival theme! They are so ecstatic to start preparing for it and getting things ready for the day in creative arts. Some other highlights from this week also include the Romaca Swim Meet where many of the girls had a blast winning medals and Brother/Sister dinner with Greylock this Wednesday.
The Debs are all doing amazing bonding together as a division and they are so excited for the summer ahead! Please check back in next week for more about our adventures in the Berkshires with the Debs!
Have a great weekend!
