Hello Clubhouse Families!
We kicked this week off with our traditional Romacan Fourth of July celebration. The day began with a high-energy rap battle, where the Clubhouse girls worked as a team to write and perform their own lyrics! The highlight of the afternoon was the ever-iconic Paint Your Counselor, where red, white, and blue took over as the girls joyfully decorated their counselors—and each other. After a refreshing rinse in the lake, we got ready for a classic American cookout, then headed to enjoy Berkshire Bob’s incredible fireworks show. There’s truly no better way to celebrate America!
Saturday brought “Romaca’s Super Bowl”, also known as Lip Sync. As last year’s Lip Sync champions, Clubhouse brought the energy again this year! First, divided by their activity quads, each group competed for the top lip sync group within Clubhouse. In a fierce showdown, the winning quad featuring Mila, Polly, Maya, Taylor, and Remy, brought the house down with their performance of Pitbull’s ‘Hey Baby’. The winning group moved on to face off against all other divisions. As no surprise, Clubhouse made it to the final four alongside Romrec, Debs, and Inters. Channeling their High School Musical expertise, they were challenged to create a brand-new performance in just 30 minutes to ‘You Are the Music in Me’. Mila stepped confidently back into her role as Sharpay, while Polly wowed as a multitalented Troy. Alas, they didn’t win by the smallest margin ever reported at a Romaca Lip Sync battle but there are two more years to win the title back!
The rest of the week was packed with fun, from senior choice activities, parent phone calls and swim meets to socials, brother/sister events, and many off camp tournaments. What stands out most, though, is the strong bond these girls have formed. Every single camper has been welcomed and included, and the friendships they’re building are something truly special. I couldn’t be prouder of their kindness, spirit, and unity. Let the good times keep rolling—here’s to an unforgettable 5 more weeks for the 2025 Clubhouse ladies!
