Annex Week 4

Week 4 came in hot! With excitement, hugs, and a touch of paint in our hair, Annex had a week that we will all look back on and smile.

We kicked off the week by rolling out the red carpet (or pebble path, same thing) for our Parents Visiting Day! The day was filled with happy tears, snacks, pink drinks and hugs. After saying goodbye to our parents with promises to write more letters, we cranked up the tunes for a dance party in the gymnastics pavilion. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we gathered around for a beachside campfire. A perfect end to a perfect day.

Monday we welcomed our friends from Greylock for a waterfront social that turned into competitive Ping Pong. The vibes were chill, the laughter was loud, and the friendships? Camp strong.

On Tuesday we zipped up our duffels and stocked up on snacks because Wednesday was TRIP DAY!

We were up and at ‘em bright and early for our journey to Boston on Wednesday and boy, did we pack our itinerary (and our shopping bags).

First stop: Newbury Street, where we shopped ‘til we dropped (and then shopped some more). Fenway Park followed behind. Yes, we toured the iconic stadium, and yes, we’re still loyal to the Yankees, don’t worry. On Thursday came some revolutionary fun at the Boston Tea Party Museum, where we channeled our inner patriots and dramatically tossed tea into the harbor like it was 1773. We wrapped up the day at the New England Aquarium, where we made some very close friends, sharks and stingrays included. When we thought the day couldn’t be any more colorful, we closed the night with a paint party that would’ve made Picasso proud.

On Friday before heading back to camp, we took a ride on Boston’s finest amphibious vehicle during a Duck Tour! We quacked, we cruised, we conquered.

Now, we’re back in the pines, a little more tired, a lot more bonded, and already dreaming about Week 5. Boston was a blast, but there’s no place like camp.

With love,

The Annex Travel Mom
