Senior A's Week 5

Hello, Parents!

I hope you all had a wonderful week!

Here at Romaca, we had a busy schedule! On Saturday, we followed our normal schedules and prepped even more for Birthday Night, which was the following Monday. The girls were hard at work, writing, memorizing, and rehearsing their skit and song! On Sunday, we followed a more laid back schedule, as is the norm, and concluded the activities portion of the day with our camp-wide event, Miss Romrec! The Senior A’s did a great job dressing up their Romrecer and even made it to second place!!

On Monday, we FINALLY got to put on Birthday Night for the camp!! The theme was…INSIDE OUT! Everyone loved the theme and loved their skit and song even more! The dining hall looked absolutely transformed with all of the decorations the girls made and you could really tell that a lot of hardwork and dedication went into making this event as amazing as it was. Such a proud summer mommy moment!! I was very impressed with the girls and their ability to pull off this event not only gracefully, but very successfully!

Tuesday was a little more chilled out for us, as our big event of the summer was behind us. We followed our schedules, hung out at the Waterfront for Rec Swim before the rain rolled in, and ended the night with seeing the Annex and Greylock show! They did a wonderful job performing High School Musical and really got their head in the game!

Wednesday was another great day at camp, filled with laughter from every corner and kids rushing about to their activities. For evening activity, we had a mellow time writing compliment cards for everyone in the division. It was a great way for everyone to feel appreciated and let others know what they thought about each other.

Thursday was a nice day here at camp, accompanied by some rain in the afternoon, but nothing too bad! In place of Rec Swim, we played Bring Me, with the campers divided into their A, B, C, and D quads. For evening activity, we played Counselor Hunt! This is a camp-wide game of gigantic hide and seek. Each counselor is assigned a random set of points and as campers (paired up with their camp sisters) find them, campers get points! It was so great to see how into it the counselors got – I’m talking face paint and camo! Friday was a beautiful day here at camp with nothing but sunshine! For evening activity, we kept it more lowkey and just cleaned up our bunks and prepped for Grandparents Visiting Day on Sunday!

Talk to you all next week!

Love,

Jess
