Senior A's Week 3

Hello, Senior A Parents!

We had another great week here, with a few beautiful days of warmth and sunshine!

First, the campers’ show at Greylock was amazing! I told you I knew it would be! There were so many laughs, smiles, and a little bit of an Irish jig thrown in there. Everyone at Romaca was so supportive as were the Greylock campers. I’m so proud of them!!

We had a nice late wake up on Sunday and had a few activity periods before the rain came in. We were supposed to participate in a camp favorite, Romacaween, but Mother Nature had other plans. So, we compromised and watched The Greatest Showman and after all my times of watching that movie, I think this time had to be my favorite. The Rec Hall was filled with sounds of laughter, clapping, and singing along. Camp sisters were cozied up with each other and it was so sweet to see the Senior As take care of them. On Monday, we had our second social with the Greylock campers and the girls thought I was joking with them right up until it was time to get ready! All day, I was asked if I was serious that they’d be having a social and boyyyyy were they surprised when we did!!

Tuesday and Wednesday were a bit more relaxed here. The girls went to their activities, hung out, and started seriously putting in the work for Birthday Night! We had a ice cream sundae bar party for evening activity on Tuesday for a job well done on Shrek and planned some more, then we got to work in Creative Arts on Wednesday for evening activity. It’s coming along so nicely! I still can’t divulge the theme, but it’s a good one!

Thursday was everyone’s favorite night of the year: DJ Jeff!! The girls, as always, got their oversized DJ Jeff shirts and customized them to their hearts’ content. A love for fashion design starts here! They danced the night away to great music, great fun, and great hats on DJ Jeff’s part. If how much my feet hurt are any indication of how hard the campers danced, then we all danced pretty hard. We were all so wiped out from our evening of fun that Daniel gave us all a nice late wake up for Friday morning. We needed it!!

Friday was a bit more rainy than we would have liked, but the girls made the most of it in all their activities and still had a beautiful day in the Berkshires, regardless. We were back in Creative Arts for evening activity to make some more decorations for our event.

That’s our busy, busy week wrapped up in a nutshell. We can’t wait to see you all on Sunday!! Hoping for good weather!!

Best, Jess
