Romrec Week 5

Hello to all my fabulous Romrec families!

Seems like only yesterday we spoke :)

We kicked our week off with the most sunny week we have had yet at camp which was welcomed by everyone. The Romrec girls love the sunshine that’s all I will say. ANY opportunity they have to go sit in the sunshine they take it. Sunday night we had our weekly campfire. Every week the girls bring more and more energy which makes me so very proud to sit in the center circle with them singing old and new songs Camp Romaca really treasures.

Tuesday morning was a morning of fun filled cleaning which ALL the girls know I love, I’m sure you could tell by seeing the bunk during visiting day. Later that day, I had the pleasure of driving and judging the Romrec girls at their very first Cheerleading competition at Danbee. The girls were breathtaking. I was honestly screaming in pure excitement and they WON, they came in 1st place! WOOHOO! The girls enjoyed Topsy’s which was well deserved. Later that night, we all enjoyed making our way to Greylock to watch the Annex show which was a High School Musical, a camp favorite sing along.

Wednesday was a normal day off from activities. Everyone was making the most of having another day full of activities. Later that night was a VERY EXCITING night. A Social with Winadu!!! Everyone was looking fabulous. Not a hair out of place, the bright pink and blue tank tops were on. It was a great night. I think the Winadu boys were loving the Romaca refreshments especially the cookies. The girls even showed the boys their DJ Jeff dance.

Today we had our annual Romrec Target trip. I mean I’ve seen girls shop the way they do. The shopping carts were bursting. The girls had the best day and also loved it because their OOBS were there with us enjoying the shopping extreme experience. Later that day it was a little wet for the first day in awhile. The whole camp enjoyed a game of ‘Bring Me’ which was so nice to see the Romrec girls cheer the younger girls on. Later that night the whole camp enjoyed a game of Counselor Hunt. This is where you see the campers and counselors become very competitive against each other.

Friday night the girls have a night swim to enjoy as the weather is supposed to be beautiful so fingers crossed we get a dry warm sunny day tomorrow.

I hope you all have the best week and the girls are very much looking forward to seeing their grandparents on Sunday.

Lots of love,

Bethany
