Debs Week 5

Hello Deb Families!

Another week has flown by here at camp and I truly cannot believe it. We have worked so hard this week as the Debs and I couldn’t be any prouder of our girls.

Saturday night was our premiere of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and the girls were AMAZING. The show made some counselors, including myself, shed a couple of tears. The amount of work that the Debs put into their rehearsals really showed that night.

On Tuesday we made our way to Greylock to watch the Annex play! They performed High School Musical and it was a very enjoyable experience. Having our brother camp work together on plays is really nice for the campers and emphasizes that feeling of a family.

Wednesday Atkins Field was in full usage due to the Debs having a soccer invitational. They came in third place and competed against five camps. This made for a big and fun event. That night we all gathered in the Gymnastics Pavilion to do an all camp activity. It is definitely a fan favorite here on camp because the campers get to dress up a Romrecer in really any way they want. If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m talking about Little Miss Romrecer. The girls had SO much fun, with Dora the Explorer and Kim Kardashian being in the finals. The girls get very creative and it was honestly hilarious to see.

Unfortunately rain came on Thursday so Debs Carnival needed to be rescheduled to Monday. Even though we were a little bummed out, we saw it as a way to go back and make sure anything we missed is perfect. We took time to come up with a music playlist together and are looking forward to putting on an AMAZING event. The girls, counselors and I couldn’t be more excited to show everyone all of our hard work. Make sure to keep an eye out for pictures on Instagram!

We are reaching the point of camp where we are starting our special events and all camp activities. Make sure to stay tuned for next week so I can tell you call about our Carnival and our fun filled week. And don’t forget, the Debs are the best!

With Much Love,

Ashley, the Director of Fun for the Debs
