Debs Week 4

Hello Deb Families!

It was SO nice meeting all of you on Visiting Day! I had a great time spending the day seeing everyone’s family come together. We had a super exciting week here at camp and spent a lot of time preparing for the coming week. The Debs have A LOT coming up in the next coming days and we cannot wait.

On Monday we had Cliff Brodeur! It was a super fun night where the girls were able to put on their best denim and flannel. It was an evening activity that many of the girls were looking forward to. They spent the night do-si-doing and cotton eye joeing.

Tuesday brought our first play rehearsal! Our show this year is The Little Mermaid and I cannot wait to see the full production. I have been watching the girls practice and in just a few days they have come so far! They have spent so much of their free time learning their lines and practicing with each other, I couldn’t be prouder. Our show is definitely going to be the best show of the summer, but I MIGHT be a little biased.

We went to Funplex Funpark in New York on Wednesday and we had a BLAST! There were go karts, a bouncy house, water wars, a trampoline, basketball and more. The girls and their counselors spent the day running around with smiles on their faces. We then had pizza, ice cream at topsy’s and came back to camp for a relaxing dinner. It was a hot day so it made for an amazing day to run around and be in the water.

Come Thursday we spent the first day in Creative Arts working on Debs Carnival and PAWS play practice the second half of the day. We are all so excited for Thursday to come around so we can show the camp how hard we’ve been working. Our day will be remembered through infinity and beyond!

Stay tuned for next week when I fill you in on ALL the details from Debs Carnival. Just know, it’s AMAZING!!!

With Much Love,

Ashley, The Director of Fun for the Debs
