Debs Week 3

Hello Deb Families!

I cannot believe we are already in our final month of camp! I feel like the girls just got off those buses last week. We have had some thunderstorms this past week but we have not let the weather dampen our mood. We as Debs are grateful for the rain, believe it or not, because it has been giving us an opportunity to work on Debs Carnival! It is coming along so well and I am truly impressed with our girls. They have SUCH talent!

On Sunday, Annex got a chance to lead us in Campfire because Romrec was away on their trip to Cape Cod. They did a great job and brought a lot of energy, I know they can’t wait to be sitting in the middle of the circle themselves next summer. Monday due to heavy rain our hike got canceled but we just used the time to play games together as Debs. I love moments like that because we can come together and bond as a whole group. On Tuesday we had an event called Romacaween in the Rec Hall where the girls were split into groups and given a theme to dress up as. Right after that we went into an all camp movie, watching The Greatest Showman. I forgot just how good that movie actually is! Come Thursday, our girls went out to a swim meet and came in Second Place! They did so great and I am very proud of all of our campers. Friday, even with the storm, we had an AMAZING time at DJ Jeff and danced the night away. The girls were able to decorate their T-Shirts and wear them that night. It was SO fun being able to spend the night dancing with all of the girls and sharing laughs. It is truly one of my favorite nights here at Romaca.

We have a special weekend coming up at camp and we could not be more excited! The girls have been taking time to work on bunk decorations and getting ready for all of you! We are looking forward to seeing all of our lovely families this weekend here at camp with us for Visiting Day! I know that I cannot wait to meet all of you and the girls are counting down the minutes until your arrivals!

Tune in next week to hear about how Visiting Day went and how the rest of the week at camp has been for our BEAUTIFUL Debs.

With Much Love,

Ashley, The Director of Fun for the Debs
