Annex Week 4

Hi Annex Families

WOW week 4! Where is the summer going?

I hope you all had a fantastic visiting day, it was so lovely to see you all! These girls have been busy ever since stuffing their faces with all their food! But they had an amazing day with you all and we’re still so thankful that the rain stayed away!

We have had some great events this week from trashion show to Cliff Brodeur and of course our trip to Boston from which we just returned from on friday night. Monday the girls got their flannels out and braided hair and two stepped and dosey doe’d the night away with the infamous Cliff Brodeur. Always a good time for the girl swinging their partner round and round! With a rainy day on tuesday… surprise surprise! You know what that’s a good excuse for? A whole camp activity! TRASHION SHOW! The girls were each given one trash bag and given time to get their creative juices flowing to create a catwalk worthy outfit to strut their stuff! You may have seen a sneak peak of this on instagram, if you didn’t check out the highlights.

Our 3 days in Boston have just come to an end, let me tell you taking 30 teenagers into the real world all at once? Crazy! But so much fun! Lots of shopping of course; brandy, urban, sephora you name it? They bought it! Our first day we also headed to the Boston Bruins training arena and the girls got the chance to go ice skating there, every one of them on a kiddie trolley to hold themselves up, very amusing! But they loved it! Day two took us to a tour of Fenway park. Most of the girls really loved boasting about the Yankees whilst we were there but there was a lot to take in and I think the girls really enjoyed it. Following this… more shopping, we headed back to the hotel, ordered some pizza and had a lady come in and run a painting program with them. They all got their own canvas and easel and had an evening all creating the same (but very VERY individual paintings). I’m sure some of our lovely Picasso artists that were proud of their efforts may bring this home. And our last day… MORE shopping but also a whale watching cruise the girls had on their best oooooohs and ahhhs as the whales came up and down out of the water. A very cool experience. I’m sure they will tell you all about it on their next phone calls.

I look forward to updating you all about this weeks antics next week!

Lots of love

Jess
