Hello Subs families!
What a week it has been!
Despite some rain, the summer has started off with a bang. Just after the first sleep on camp, the girls woke up and got ready for auditions for the play! Drum roll please…High School Musical Two! The girls have been in and out of rehearsals all week, and opening night is on Saturday! They will have a second show on Sunday, and following that, festivities will begin and an ice cream party will be had.
Throughout the first week, we have all begun getting to know each other through activities such as Get to Know Your Counselor, Camper, Twin Night, and various other fun evening activities. The girls have already been on stage a number of times, and I, and the rest of the counselors, have sat in the audience like proud mommies! They have done such a wonderful job, and it fills us with so much joy seeing their smiling faces in front of all of Romaca. “They’ve got spirit, that’s no maybe, that’s because they are our babies, yay SUBS!”.
The fun has just begun, and there is so much in store. Tournaments, socials, birthdays, Subsway prep, 4th of July, and lots and lots more! I feel so lucky to be the group head of these girls, and I look forward to them sharing the details of the fun and games that are happening here at Romaca. Phone calls around the corner, letters entering your mail boxes soon, there will just be so much for them to tell!
