Inters Week 1

Hello Inter Families!

The start of camp has finally arrived, and welcome day was as exciting as it was loud! Seeing all of the girls, new and returning with bright smiles and excitable energy was so heartwarming and started off our summer with a positive atmosphere!

I can’t believe a week has already passed us by, but they do say that time flies when you’re having fun! So much has happened throughout the week. On our first night we took the girls to Wish night, a night where we sit as a camp around the campfire and light our candles together, and make a wish and set our intentions for the summer.

Our first big event in the rec hall was a ‘get to know your counselor’ evening where as a division we planned a little skit to introduce ourselves to our campers, and personally I would just like to say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself as well as embarrassed myself! However, part of camp is about trying new things! And the girls seemed to get a good laugh out of it. On Sunday we had a ‘get to know your camper’event where the girls also put together little skits to introduce themselves! And everyone did an amazing job and truly came together as a team to make dance routines and really project themselves on stage!

Throughout the week we have started our daily activities! Ranging from creative arts, to waterfront and tennis! And although the weather has been a bit stormy and rainy, that hasn’t stopped us from getting our summer started! Our evening activities as a division have been full of party games and music, playing musical statues and having little dance parties. And taking a break from the partying, for one of our evening activities we sat around the fire as a division and wrote letters to our future selves, so that we can read them at the end of summer and reflect on the summer that we have had together.

But the summer has only begun and we have many more memories to make! The sun has started to shine and the camp is booming with energy! And we are all so excited to have the best summer ever!

Love,

Kelsey
