Juniors week 2

Hello friends and family of our lovely juniors!

We are coming to the end of another successful week here at camp Romaca. The girls are all doing really well. I love to see how in each bunk the girls have gotten so close and have all cultivated such amazing friendships already. They are doing well in their daily activities and are all in a good rhythm with their schedules. We have also had a few events this week that the girls have really enjoyed. To celebrate July 4th, on July 3rd we of course had to pay Berkshire Bob a visit. He welcomed us all in his backyard while we watched a spectacular fireworks show. The girls absolutely loved it and joined in with all of the ooohs and aaaahs. Those who were not up for the loud fireworks were given a movie night back at the camp. Before our evening with Bob, we spent the day doing campwide lip sync battles. The girls did such a good job and fully impressed me by how they planned their songs, dances, and wardrobes. The following day we had rap battles where the girls were challenged to use a word associated with the Fourth of July. They were highly entertaining and myself and the counselors were very impressed by the girls talents. After the epic rap battles we gathered at the lagoon field for Paint Your Counselor. We all had such a wonderful time and of course it was not just the counselors that were painted. Our camp looked very colorful after we finished our “art”. Before jumping into the lake to wash off, we sang our national anthem and had the pleasure of listening to the anthems of the countries represented by all of the staff at camp. We returned to our bunks to get ready for cookout, followed by an evening of singing around the campfire at the waterfront. What a wonderful day!

The rest of the week was spent having fun with our daily activities, tennis, gymnastics, swimming, ect. We especially love the evening when we get to do something special once the clock hits 7:45pm. We had game night Tuesday, Wednesday we had a campwide bidding game, Thursday was a movie night with the Debs, and today is going to be spent helping feed and brush the horses. We are truly enjoying our summer here at Romaca. Our days are filled with laughter with your incredible girls! Till next time!
