Debs Week 1

Hello to all the lovely Debs parents,

What a great start to the girls camp life! All of your girls are simply amazing and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to look after and watch them all have so much fun together!

The girls settled in really well and formed friendships with each other straight away! The Debs bunks follow the theme of different environments around the world: safari, rainforest, ‘under de sea’, and the desert. The counselors made a special effort to make it creative and amazing for the girls’ arrival. The girls are doing so well making sure their bunks are nice and tidy every day.

We have managed to fit a lot of fun activities into the first week already! We started by having an all-camp campfire for Wish Night, we all had fun getting dressed in our divisional color. They wore bright yellow which matched their wonderfully bright personalities. We blew out a candle and made a wish for what we wanted from our experience at camp this year. The girls sang their hearts out and Debs were definitely the loudest singing their divisional song (GO DEBS). Over the first weekend, we did Get to Know Your Counselor and Get to Know Your Camper. This was SO much fun; we all dressed up and the girls were very funny. I cheered them on so loudly that I nearly lost my voice!

We played Predator running around camp and sat calmly for the yarn game. They participated in Twin Night and were allowed to go to creative arts to make costumes with their camp sisters. It was so wonderful to see them all working together. No surprise to me, the Debs won several awards for their twin outfits and performances! Deb carnival planning has begun and they already have SO many fabulous ideas. I can’t wait to update you on the rest of their time here! They are all such a happy and amazing bunch of girls and they are doing so well! I am so happy to be working with them this summer!

Love
