Hey Clubhouse Families!!
What an amazing first week we have had. From campfires, to birthdays with pizza and movie nights, the first social with Greylock of the summer (and also some of the girls FIRST socials!). The girls were dressed head to toe in PINK, shining bright and singing loud in our first campfire of the summer and, of course, with our first-night tradition of Wish Night making wishes for the rest of their time at camp, I knew summer 2022 would be off to an amazing start.
The girls started off their week with ‘Get to Know your Camper’. I’m always amazed with Romaca girls’ abilities to create and write songs, and these girls did not disappoint! They were working on this from the very first night all together in the common room of CH7. To the tune of Lana del Ray’s ‘Summertime Sadness’: “We’re reppin pink on Sunday night, singing by the fire shining bright, 34 girls now side by side…We’re making history Clubhouse ‘22, we’re making history hiding all our food, we’re making history came one from two ohhhhh ohhhh’. Absolutely a 10/10 performance, and so nice to hear the girls sing about coming together. We honestly couldn’t be more proud of how the girls are combining within the bunk as ONE division.
Predator, as always, was a big hit. Decked out in black, green and camo, the girls were led by Romrec on their animal teams in a giant game of food chain hide-and-seek/tag throughout camp. They have also been so amazing with their younger camp sisters, greeting them on the first day with their gifts, seeing them every night to say goodnight and also preparing for Twin Night. As for the rest of the week, we have got a Room vs. Room kickball tournament… with each team creating their own theme to dress up to, and also super sloppy night! You’ll hear more about these in next week’s blog! So, stay tuned!
