Hello Everyone
What a lovely week we have had. The weather has been glorious. We have had lots of hot sunny days with a few days of a little rain so we cannot complain :)
We are really starting to get into the last few really busy weeks. We started the week off with a bang…… MUCH loved DJ JEFF. DJ JEFF is probably one of the most looked forward to events at camp. The Annex girls were all looking amazing in their neon sofie tops and of course the uniform of the summer ‘ jean shorts’. They all put so much love and effort into their outfit it’s thrilling to watch lol. The getting ready process is a military operation, Annex becomes a wild house when getting ready.
On monday we also enjoyed watching everyone on camp create the most fabulous outfits using black trash bags. This is personally one of my most enjoyed all camp event. Everyone struts their stuff up and down the catwalk showing off their masterpiece outfits to everyone. The outfits were to die for. A lot off co ords.
On Tuesday we had birthday night. ( A fun dinner party planned and organized by the senior A division to celebrate everyone’s birthday at camp even if it doesn’t occur during the summer while at camp ) This year’s theme was the popular Harry Potter which was a huge hit with everyone. These events are always enjoyed by everyone as the themes are also very secret until the day. Everyone enjoyed singing the summer, spring, winter and fall songs and dressing up according to their birthday season.
Wednesday we had a busy day with activities followed by CampfIre. Campfire is the highlight of the week for everyone as it’s a time to get decked out in spirit wear and represent Annex in all our purple gear. Campfire is when we all get to sit together as a whole camp and sing the songs that have been sung at romaca for many years. The songs are so meaningful to every camper and really grounds us for the week ahead. Campfire really is a special time to look at how special our friendships are and how lucky we are to have a summer home at 01235.
Thursday we had Debs Carnival. We were loudly woken up by the Debs banging pots and pans. Once we all rushed to flag pole the Debs announced the theme this summer was PARIS :) Debs carnival is such a fun day. The Greylock boys come over for food, cotton candy, bbq and lots of other fun things. At debs carnival everyone also enjoys getting married. I did explain to the girls it’s a serious commitment but they all got married anyway and are enjoying married life with each other.
The girls also enjoyed a 7mile day hike yesterday at Mount Greylock state reservation.
With all the upcoming events and a calendar getting busier, It really started to hit me and the girls how little time is left here at camp. The next couple of weeks I hope the girls really treasure all the time they have together.
