Annex week 1

Hello, hello my beautiful Annex families!

I cannot tell you how happy I am to be back in our summer home, spending it with all your lovely girls. Unpacking and decorating the bunk was the quickest it’s EVER been. They took so much pride and effort into making their bunk area look AMAZING with all their photos and fairy lights. The bunk is glowing. The girls got decked out in their purple spirit clothing for their first campfire of the summer, which is also known as ‘Wish Night’,where everyone was handed a candle so they could make their own special and unique wish for the summer ahead.

It brought a tear to my eyes seeing all the girls come together and reconnect in our very special summer home, and to take a minute to reflect on the summer ahead.

The Annex girls have really given it their all this first week off camp. Their effort, energy and pep has been second to none. They have been AMAZING in all aspects of camp this week. In this first week, we have managed to squeeze in so much! Firstly, we started with a Lip Sync battle, Get to Know Your Counselor, Get to Know Your Camper, Twin Night, Predator and, my personal favorite, Senior B statues. This is where the girls from Romrec, Annex and Clubhouse come together to dress up and act out a camp scene that the counselors have come up with. As you can imagine, it can become a little wild.

We also had a surprise social with the Greylock boys which, as you can imagine, the hair was sitting perfectly, the jean shorts were on, and they danced the night away.

This first week off camp could not have been more perfect. It’s so heartwarming to see the girls back together and share their love for camp together. They are all so unique and supportive of each other. You should all be very proud of them and who they have become. I am so proud of them and excited to be their Group Head again for the 5th year. I am honored to be able to watch them grow over the next few weeks as a division and as individuals.

Their spirit and energy have already impressed me so much and it’s only been the first week. They are all having an amazing time and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for them, as a whole division and as individuals.

Hope you’re having a great summer!
