Inters Week 6

Dear Inter Families,

This week was action packed! We had “Counselor Hunt” on Sunday where all of the counselors hid around camp and the campers worked in pairs to find them. Each counselor had varying point values unbeknownst to the campers. When the campers found a counselor they turned them in to find out how many points the counselor was worth. Points ranged in the hundreds with negatives and positives values. The girls had so much fun! At the end, all of the points were tallied for the counselors that were found as the total score for the campers. For the counselors that were not found their values were added together as the total score for the counselors. Whomever had the most points won and the losing team had to clean the dining hall for dinner. Well, the campers WON! So the girls were thrilled about that!

This week we also had Deb Carnival and the secret theme was ¨Creepy Carnival¨! The girls enjoyed cotton candy, snowcones, popcorn, cookies, funnel cakes, hamburgers and hotdogs and more! They had a ball playing the different carnival games and sliding down the Slip-n-Slide! They won tickets from all of the games and were able to redeem theme for prizes.

The evening after the carnival we had the camp-wide talent show! We enjoyed seeing many campers display their talents confidently. There was singing, dancing, hula-hoop tricks, a magic show and skits! Olympics broke out at the end of the talent show and the girls were so excited to find out their teams and begin the fun!

The Romaca Olympics was AMAZING… almost as good as the games in Tokyo! I enjoyed seeing the girls compete in various events. It was such a joy to witness their track meet and see them team-building for each activity. I had the pleasure of cheering for all of them! They competed in all areas of camp and Olympics ended with an amazing Sing, where each team performed three original songs before the whole camp.

For another fun evening activity, we tye-dyed our shirts and had the chance to come together to make matching anklets/bracelets. These matching anklets signify our summer together and the bond we have made with one another.

This has been such a memorable summer! I am looking forward to making more memories with the girls this week.

Best, Danielle
