Sub-Seniors Week 2

Dear Sub Families,

It has been another awesome week here in the Berkshires (we didn’t let the rain stop us) and the girls did not waste a single moment of it. We started our week off with another fun-filled Fourth of July celebration, Romaca-style. We had the girls participate in long held traditions such as Predator (which was patriotic themed this year – a bald eagle was our top dog), Paint your Counselor (your girls are all artists, by the way), a nice Sunday cookout, and finally a night under the fireworks at Berkshire Bob’s. The fireworks were absolutely amazing as always, and the Romrec girls led the camp in some fun songs leading up to the first firework.

We carried on with our normal schedule on Monday and ended the day with Campfire! The girls had fun once again as the Romrec girls led us in songs and everyone was decked out in their corresponding divisional colors.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we had late wake ups due to some rain in the mornings, but the rest of the days turned out pretty well! The girls bounced around from activity to activity and didn’t let the rain put a damper on their days. I watched the girls at gymnastics and they looked like they had so much fun on the bars, tumbling track, and vault!

On Thursday, we had a movie planned for Rec Swim since it was another rainy day. The girls enjoyed watching (and singing) High School Musical 2 and taking a minute to just chill after running around so much these past few days. The girls were beyond excited for a Brother/Sister Night with Greylock as well! A great step back to the normal direction of a summer at Romaca!

This weekend we have a lot planned! We enjoyed Twin Night on Friday, where all the girls dressed up with their camp sisters and paraded on stage. Saturday night we got to see Annex perform their show up on stage at the rec hall. Our special event on Sunday will be Romacaween (Halloween but Romaca-style).

I am so excited for this weekend with the Subs and can’t believe we are at the end of our second week already!

Have a great week, Jess
