Senior A's Week 3

Dear Senior A Families,

This third week of camp has been one for the books! From our first social with Greylock to DJ Jeff, we had lots of fun-filled nights as a Senior A family.

On Sunday, we had campfire in the rec hall to avoid the liquid sunshine. With a beautiful handmade campfire made of paper and Romrec leading the way, we had a wonderful time singing and chanting the night away.

On Monday, we went to Greylock for a social! The girls have been so excited to see their friends at our brother camp after two long years of waiting. Everyone had a great time chatting and dancing!

Tuesday, the alumni counselors led Statues for evening activity. The girls were so creative with their scenes and it was hard to choose a winner each round! They were all so inventive for the “Juniors late wake-up” scene, and made us all laugh with statues of pulling blankets off sleeping counselors and using megaphones to wake up the bunk.

On Wednesday, our Birthday Night committees got together and finalized the plans for our special night. The Skit and Costume Committee wrote a 5 page skit and designed an amazing shirt. The Food and Centerpieces Committee wrote a pun-filled menu and sketched out some truly unique centerpieces to fit the theme. The Song Committee is so excited to teach the others their musical masterpiece, and the Plaque and Scenery Committee are ready to get to work in Creative Arts to create a one of a kind experience and commemorate the event with a gorgeous plaque.

Thursday, DJ Jeff lit up the rec hall with a night full of jumping, dancing, and screaming the lyrics to our favorite songs. The Senior As took to the stage throughout the evening to lead the younger campers! The girls danced for 3 hours straight and encouraged the rest of lower camp to get into the DJ Jeff spirit! My favorite part was the slideshow from previous years. I loved seeing the girls smiling together years ago while watching them dance and sing together.

On Friday, the girls bid for activities with staff at the Counselor Auction. It was a great way to start off Visiting Day Weekend! All the girls loved their visiting day packages and have been sharing some snacks and saving others for our trip next week. We will be going to Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY on Wednesday and spending the night (bringing all our visiting day snacks). The Senior As are really excited for their first overnight trip!

Warm Regards, Amanda
