Romrec Week 3

Hello Romrec Families,

Third week started off with a bang as we traveled to Cape Cod for our Romrec trip! Day one, we went to the Plymouth plantation and met some folks from 1627. The girls got stuck in and took part in a bunch of activities that would have taken place all those years ago. Our next stop was a replica of the Mayflower, where they got to learn the history of the first voyages to America. We also went to the movies in the evening and had dinner at the mall. Day two began with some liquid sunshine and fun bonding activities. The girls also broke off into committees and decided their theme for Secret Show. We went out for a lovely dinner on the harbor and then went for ice cream, which the girls LOVED! On day three, we went for a lovely stroll around the streets of Hyannis. The girls bought gifts for their camp sisters and had a great time shopping. In the evening, we went to a beautiful restaurant where all the girls really enjoyed themselves. Throughout the trip the girls were mixing around and enjoyed the company of sitting with different people. Day four, we went to Provincetown. The girls really enjoyed going around the streets, shopping in the boutiques, and eating their favorite food: acai bowls! We went on a sailboat around the bay and saw beautiful views. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

After our trip we headed back to camp for a special birthday pizza party. The next day was the infamous DJ Jeff! The girls were super excited to perform their dance for the whole camp. They killed it!

The girls were so excited to finally get back into their senior choice schedules. They were taking in every ounce of being back with all of their Romacan friends and the beautiful sunshine. Friday nights evening activity was Counselor Auction, where they spent ALL their money bidding on me which was really sweet!

Saturday was the beginning of Visiting Day celebrations and the girls were really excited to have their phone calls with you and receive the amazing packages. Romrec is really excited to see the Debs & Subs on stage for their show on Sunday. The girls could hardly wait until campfire this Sunday night. It will be very special because they will be introducing their new song to Romaca.

Warm Regards, Ellya
