Romrec, Week 7

Romrec, Week 7

Dear RR Families,

I cannot properly put into words just how amazing and fulfilling this summer has been. I wish I could keep them here forever (though I know you’re dying to see them). Watching Romrec 2018 every day this summer has given me so much joy. They are such an incredible group of girls. They are fun, silly, loving, sweet, talented, and dedicated. All of that was truly proven during their Secret Show performance. Matilda will definitely be remembered as one of the best Secret Shows we’ve seen. The skit was hilarious and each of them shined in their roles. They have put so much time and effort into making sure the songs, dance, skits, plaque, and scenery were perfect and it truly paid off. The camp had so much fun watching it as well. Although there are a lot of emotions with this upcoming week, there are still so many amazing events to come. The girls had their last campfire on Tuesday night. They always love coming together to sing their hearts out. On Tuesday morning Jeff, Daniel and Debra took RR out to breakfast at Ozzie’s, the local diner in Hinsdale. Last night we also enjoyed Counselor Show, the theme this year was Mama Mia! They enjoyed watching their counselors perform. Today we will be spending time on camp before Banquet. We are going to have a picnic at the Waterfront with our favorite Romacan lunch just relishing in the time together as one whole division.

From the bottom of my heart, it has been so amazing to see these girls grow over the years. I have loved being their Group Head the past two years and it still baffles me just how fast time as gone. They’re definitely not little Debs anymore. The Romrec girls have made such an impact on this camp, and their legacy will continue on.
