Clubhouse 7, Week 6

Clubhouse 7, Week 6

Hello again Clubhouse 7 families,

What a week we have had, jam packed full of fun, laughter and madness! The girls really enjoyed the Hollywood themed Deb Carnival, getting to put their stars on the walk of fame, decorating cookies, and going down the slip n slide. Not to forget the Haunted House in which the girls were scared out of their whits! Eating chicken fingers and french fries all together as a division on the grass, enjoying the atmosphere of the carnival, and making new memories was the recipe for success.

The girls were looking forward to their evening activity on Thursday night which was a game of manhunt. The girls got so into it and the best time running all over camp with their friends and counselors. The next night they had the pleasure of going to Greylock for their last social of this summer. They had a great time, however, most of them were looking forward to Lizzie’s birthday movie and pizza rather than hanging out with the boys! (good choice).

The next night we had the pleasure of watching the Jinters production of Wicked, it was an absolute hit. The girls in the show were so magical and it was really nice to see Clubhouse cheering on their younger camp sisters.

Time surly flies when having fun and before we knew it, it was time for Grandparents Visiting Day. The girls and their Grandparents looked so cute walking around camp. They showed them all the fun things they have been up to during the summer. The girls without Grandparents dressed up as grandparents and enjoyed the day acting like Grandparents for those who did not have any. (They looked pretty awesome). After lunch it was time for the grandparents to depart camp and for Apache Relay to begin. The camp was divided into two teams Green (Shawnee) and White (Kiawa). The campers went through camp completing tasks that eventually led the whole camp down to the Waterfront where Romrec had to build a fire to burn through a rope that was suspended in the air. Annex was running back and forth collecting branches and leaves from the woods to help feed the fire. Our wonderful Clubhouse girls had the pleasure of the leading the rest of the campers in cheers to support their teams during their fire building efforts. It was an emotional time when the rope fell and the Romrec girls ran into the lake to celebrate.

I’m sure you heard the news that Olympics at Camp Romaca as officially begun. The break out and crowning ceremonies are something so special at Romca. This was the first year that your girls had the opportunity to be a named a Leuitenent. It’s amazing to watch them as Sr. B’s leading and teaching the younger campers the cheer and songs for Sing on the last night of Olympics. Over the next few days, the girls will be competing in a wide range of events trying to earn as many points for their teams as they can. It is also an amazing time to watch the skills and talents that they have, put into a competitive nature.

Until next time.
