Romrec, Week 2

Romrec, Week 2

Hi RR Families!

What another exciting week it has been at camp. Romrec started off their week with a 2nd place win at their cheerleading tournament at Lenox! They were practicing all week for this performance and I am so proud of them for seeing all of their hard work pay off. They were so cute and coordinated in their blue Frosted Flakes tank tops and high ponytails. Romrec also auditioned for their upcoming play with Greylock. Their show this year is “Grease”! What could be better than that?! The girls were so excited- we even started having the Grease soundtrack play in the bunk during clean-up (maybe that will help them get a “10” on inspection)?! lol

The Romrec girls also got a chance to bond with the Juniors and Inters in a beauty night evening activity. Each Romrecer got to hang out with a Junior or Inter and do her nails, hair, and make up (albeit in a wacky and silly, rainbow way). A lot of girls also put on face masks and took silly pictures in them. Everyone had such a fun night relaxing and getting to know the younger girls at camp. Our annual Lip Sync Battle happened this past week as well. This is by far one the girls’ favorite events at camp. They had so much fun getting up on stage and going crazy. Then 4th of July rolled around. The girls ran up to the flagpole decked out in their red, white, and blue spirit wear. We started the morning with a patriotic themed rap battle that Romrec won! In the afternoon, we had “paint your counselor”. The girls loved getting to throw paint at us and ended up getting to paint each other, too. Then, we headed to Berkshire Bob’s for a fantastic fireworks show! The craziness of Romrec summer continues as we prepare to head out to Cape Cod! I know the girls are looking forward to getting to spend more quality time with each other, see some sights, do some shopping and head to the beach!

All the best for a wonderful weekend,

Frankel
