Juniors, Week 2

Juniors, Week 2

Hi Junior Families!

Week 2 at Romaca has been such a blast! The little Juniors have been really enjoying all of the extra Rec Swim time in this hot weather. Seeing their smiles and happy faces in all the activities at camp is making this summer even more special for their counselors and for me. A big highlight of this week was our annual Lip Sync Battle, where each bunk got to pick a song and perform on stage in front of everyone!! I was extremely impressed with how the Juniors put together such an elaborate and well thought out dance to “Firework” by Katy Perry. The Juniors continue to create such a stir with their cuteness and dance skills. This past Sunday, we all gathered in the Rec Hall and got to watch the Subs perform their play, Finding Nemo. The Juniors absolutely LOVED it, getting to watch their camp friends perform a show that they all knew so well.

The 4th of July also went seamlessly; we spent the day doing all kinds of July 4th activities; participating in an all camp scavenger hunt to try and find the American flag and raise it before the British counselors “tagged” them. We had a delicious cookout of hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, and watermelon on the waterfront before we started the very anticipated “paint your counselor” where all the campers got the chance to paint their counselors head-to-toe in red, white, and blue paint!! It was such a mess and the Juniors had a blast. Everyone rinsed off in the lake before getting showered and heading to Berkshire Bob’s for a fireworks show! Berkshire Bob definitely outdid himself this year with a very long, loud, amazing fireworks display!!! The 4th was an exceptional day. All in all, it has been an amazing week here at Romaca. This weekend we will get to watch the Annex show, Beauty and the Beast. We also have counselor auction coming up, where the different divisions will get to bid on counselors and win different prizes. We are in for an exciting weekend!!

Hope your summer is going as well as ours!

Till next time,

Fretts
