Inters, Week 4

Inters, Week 4

Hello Inter Parents!

This was a huge week for my girls.

Visiting day was such a blast. The Inters enjoyed sliding off the Wibit with you, horseback riding, lunch, and mostly, the bonding time. We had SO much candy to share with each other! There was a ton of love being spread around, and it genuinely warmed my heart seeing them all so happy. The day came to a close quickly and even if a few tears were shed, they quickly turned to smiles and giggles with quality time at rec swim. It was so cute how they all came to each other’s side to support the sad ones and scooped each other up for some fun to distract their friends.

This week we also played the super fun game of Counselor Hunt. This all-camp game was campers vs. counselors, and boy did it get competitive! It involved the counselors hiding throughout the whole camp, and the campers (along with their camp sisters) had to search for them. Each individual counselor was worth a certain amount of points. We had counselors hiding in bushes, up in trees, in the creek, and even in plain sight! This event was one of those you REALLY look forward to, and it surpassed all expectations-they raced around frantically to try to win the most points-it was so entertaining to watch!

Cliff Brodeur was another hit! There were flannel shirts left and right, cowboy hats, and I saw some cowboy boots too! We learned the Hoedown Throwdown, Cotton Eye Joe, and Promenade. The girls were yelling “Yee-Haw” all night! They looked so cute in their freckles and braids.

Finally, TRIP DAY! The day started at Forest Park Zoo. We toured the small, but quaint zoo and even got close enough to pet some of the animals. After all that walking, we made a quick stop at Friendly’s for a yummy milkshake and sipped it all the way to our next adventure. Our third stop of Trip Day was the Springfield Museum, which had it’s own memorial for Dr. Seuss (Who doesn’t love his books?). We were able to fall into the world of The Cat in the Hat and Oh the Places You’ll Go. It was magical and even the adults were mind blown. The museum had areas that included a planetarium, a small aquarium, and some history behind it all. The girls REALLY loved it!

Next week, the girls have their hike and start play rehearsals!!! Their sass and acting skills will be put into overdrive!

XOXO,

Adri
