Debs, Week 2

Debs, Week 2

Dear Debs Families,

Time flies when you are having fun… It’s hard to believe that we have completed two weeks of camp!! We have had a really fun week full of great events and activities. The Debs and I had our first conversation about Deb Carnival which is the first camp event that the division will plan together. It will be kept a secret from EVERYONE (including mommy and daddy Shhhh ;-) and the girls are so excited to start the planning. This is a huge responsibility for the girls and will be a great opportunity for them to work together and create this all by themselves. I know that this will be a huge success and I can’t wait to see the girls’ creativity come to life. They love talking about it and trying to keep it a surprise from everyone.

We saw our first camp show production of Finding Nemo, performed by the Subs, which was fantastic! Fourth of July was another big part of our week. We started off our day with an all camp rap battle (about the 4th of July), followed by a rotation of different fun activity stations. Lunch was a cookout - a favorite for many! We then painted our counselors with red, white and blue paint (they even painted me!), and we all sang our national anthem proudly while the counselors from other countries all sang their national anthems as well. We ended our day with magnificent firework display at Berkshire Bob’s!! We have also had some really fun evening activities at camp, including games at the gymnastics pavillion, Bring Me (a favorite game of mine from when I was a camper) on the Lagoon Field, and salon night which everyone loved! A big highlight of the week was lip sync battle where each bunk had a chance to perform a dance and lip sync to a song of their choice and one of the debs bunks won the whole battle!!! It was very exciting for the girls!!

The girls are packing their bags and getting themselves ready for their Debs Hike tomorrow. I can’t wait to hear all of their amazing stories! S’mores and all! The Debs have been doing a great job in their activities, working hard and having a ton of fun! It was a great week, and we are looking forward to another amazing week to come.

Enjoy your week!!!

Best,

Carly
