Sub-Seniors, Week 1

Hello Sub-Senior Families,

This first week of camp has been phenomenal !! The days have been filled with laughter and fun. There have been so many activities going on. Your girls have been having a blast getting creative with their skits for “Get To Know Your Camper” and other fun games we have played together. The girls loved the role reversal when they got to watch the staff strut their stuff on stage for “Get To Know Your Counselor”. But the campers stole the spotlight from the staff, for sure! We have been super busy with play rehearsals this week for the upcoming shows this weekend Finding Nemo, one of my personal favourites. Your girls definitely have stage presence I LOVE IT. You would think these girls have been here for weeks. They have really settled in nicely being busy bees with their daily routines, running around the camp like pros and already in the groove with one another like it is second nature. So many new friendships have formed already, whilst the old ones grow stronger and stronger each day.
Your girls are so talented in many ways. I was enjoying spending time with them playing basketball (oh my!! Not my strength!). They know how to work the court, they were AMAZING. They definitely have team spirit and talent! I can learn a few things from them and I plan on it :-) The girls are really bonding with their counselors during all of the down time and divisional time. It’s lovely to see everyone taking each other under their wings and looking after each other. It makes me proud to be their summer mama as everyone is working so well together and really enjoys each other’s company.
Sunday morning was picture day and what a gorgeous photogenic group of girls. On Sunday we also played Predator, a camp favorite, where everyone gets decked out in their camouflage, green and black clothes and sprints all over camp chasing on another in a giant game of Hide and Seek/TAG!!! Everyone lovessssss it. They are split into groups based upon the food chain where they have to move tactically from station to station around camp without getting caught by another animal. They have to make it successfully working together as a team from the youngest age division to the oldest.

I can’t wait for the upcoming weeks to be filled with more memories and laughter and, even though I have known your girls for two summers now, I am thrilled to get to spend more time with all of them as we really bond even deeper as a division. Thank you for sharing them with me, again, this summer. Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,

Bethany
