Sub-Seniors, Week 6

Hola SUBS Family!!

What a crazy week! Where do I begin? Lets start with Deb Carnival, the theme was….DISNEY! SO CUTEEEEE! It was a magical day! Even Tinkerbell was going around and sprinkling pixie dust on everyone! We had so many “marriages” at the wedding booth, cotton candy, and even face painting! It was a day filled with happiness! The Jinters show was the day after…can you say ADORABLE??! Those babies really put on a show! They were so amazing! Watching them sing and dance around was the cutest thing! The Rec Hall was full of AWWWWWs! They performed “An American Tail” which was a story about a cat and mouse chase and, of all things, immigration, they were the cutest kittens and mice I’ve ever seen!

That was followed by Grandparents day. The girls were so happy to see there Papas and Mimis! It was the cutest thing to see the Grandparents come in and watch the girls shine! The day was absolutely perfect, not a cloud in the sky! The day ended with a beautiful and colorful campfire! At the end of the campfire the Trainees and Floaters decided it would be funny to do an Olympic fake out! They really got us! They had us running around like crazy people thinking the break out was happening! The trainees and floaters created a lighted pathway to the waterfront and they had the flags and everything! One of the girls was standing on top of the Wibit with the flag and we were just waiting for the music to go off when she jumps of the Wibit and right into the water tricking all of us! CRAZY!

Monday came around and it brought the Apache Relay! We had so much fun running around camp and completing all the challenges as a team! What a workout! Romrec ended the relay by the burning of the rope and we all jumped into the lake to refresh ourselves after another beautiful day! This was followed by a SUPER SLOPPY evening activity that we did with the Jinters! The Jinters Groupheads and myself turned super sloppy into another Olympics fake out! We brought out the colors and then covered the girls in shaving cream and baby lotion from head to toe! Of course they got us back! We were so SLOPPY! What a fun night!

Tuesday came around as what we thought would be a regular scheduled day. Emotions were running high and we were all paranoid of the loudspeaker and radio calls! We knew that Olympics was going to break out at any second and there were so many fake outs throughout the day! From the loudspeaker to motorcycle noises, to alarms it was insane! Then surely enough we went to evening activity as we really had to work on SUBSWAY! As we are walking back to the flagpole to sing our Alma Matter and Friends and Pals we see these two cop cars racing through camp with their sirens on FULL BLAST AND WE KNEW IT WAS HAPPENING! ALL YOU HEARD WAS RUNNNNN!!!!! IT WAS INSANE!!!! Everyone immediately followed the cop cars and ran to the lagoon field at full speed! Once we all got their the OOBS came out with the flags! Ireland, Scotland, India, and Australia! After that everyone ran to gymnastics where crowning took place! Tears and hugs were everywhere! What a beautiful night! The captains came together with their torches and lit up the night!

The games are in full force! The girls are really coming together and enjoying these amazing couple of days! I can’t wait to see what team will win the trophy! SUBSWAY is this Sunday and we are so excited for it! I can’t wait for everyone to see how hard our girls have been working! These week has truly been amazing and makes us all remember why we love camp so much!

I hope your week has been as eventful and filled with as much love as ours!

Loads of Love !
