Seniors A's, Week 6

Hello Senior A families,

It’s hard to believe that we have arrived at this time in the summer where are into our special events.

We had a wonderful time with the grandparents on Sunday, the girls really enjoyed the relaxing time they had with them. Some of the girls who didn’t have their grandparents visit decided to dress up as grandmas and grandpas for the younger girls and hung out with them at activities and lunch on the lagoon field. It was certainly an adorable cast of characters :-)

On Monday we had our annual camp wide relay call Apache, where the entire camp is split up into two teams, Shawnee and Kiawa. It’s starts off with the Juniors and works all the way through the divisions and through camp, finally ending up at the waterfront where Romrec does a ropeburning. It is always a super exciting moment on camp, and a very emotional one for our eldest campers. The girls really came together for their team and had a awesome time watching the burning of the rope.

On Tuesday our Romacan Olympics broke out with the help of the maintenance team and the Hinsdale police department which was pretty awesome! Throughout these past three days the campers have taken part in a number of different events around camp, in all different areas trying to earn those valuable points for their teams. Even clean-up scores count-lol-not exactly the biggest talent of our delightful 12 year olds ;-)

We will be looking forward to the climax of the games, Sing, on Friday night, Subsway and Secret Show on Sunday, and many more exciting events next week.

Until next time
