Romrec, Week 3

Hey Romrec Families,

Another crazy week since our last update… I did forget to mention last week that the girls took part in a cheer competition all together and came in 2nd! Another trophy for the collection.

Of course most of our week was spent in Cape Cod…

The first day we went to the Plymouth Plantation however, the weather was not in our favour the rain got a little bit to much and we had to cut the trip short but we did get chance to talk to the Wampanoag tribe before leaving. We headed to the mall then where the girls got to do their favourite thing… SHOPPING! Followed by some chill time watching a movie, most went to see Wonder Women and a few see Spiderman and Despicable Me 3.

Day 2 we had a little further to drive to the tip of the Cape, and the weather had certainly brightened up as we headed to Provincetown. The girls got the chance to explore with their counselors and of course some more shopping… followed by an afternoon of sailing around the Cape Cod bay on the Bay Lady 2. We dined outside this night in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Hyannis Marina.

Day 3 We headed to Nantucket… We took a long ride on the ferry, which the girls loved. It wasn’t to wavy and they had time to chill and work on Secret Show. They got to explore the island with their counsellors and spent a little while at the beach.

Finally Day 4… as much as the girls enjoyed their time they were super eager to get back to Romaca. We had crepes for breakfast and then headed to the beach for a couple of hours. Before heading back towards Camp we stopped for Chinese food and arrived back at camp just after taps.

The girls were straight back into activities the next day. A few of the girls headed to a swim meet first thing the next morning, we keep them active here at camp. We had a evening activity with the Juniors the girls did their hair, make up and nails. They even dressed them up as we ended the night with a cat walk through the bunk.

Tonight we have DJ Jeff which I’m sure you can all imagine the amount of hair straightening and blow drying that has happened today. They’ve all made up and learned a dance to perform tonight fpr the camp… they never cease to amaze me with these talents. They are all ready to dance the night away. Hopefully they don’t wear themselves out too much as tomorrow we have Shack ’N’ Back and then…… SATURDAY you get to see your amazing girls!

Look forward to seeing you all then

Lots of love

Jess
