Debs, Week 2

Dear Deb Families,

Time flies when you are having fun… It’s hard to believe that we have completed two weeks of camp. We have had week full of great events and activities. We have decided on our Deb Carnival theme and we are off and running with so many amazing ideas. I can already see how the girls are coming together to work together and cooperate to make this year’s Deb Carnival theme a great success.

The entire camp participated in Twin Night with their camp sisters. There were so many unique, creative and adorable outfits created by all of the girls. We saw our first camp show production of 42nd Street performed by the Subs which was fantastic! Sunday we had a Counselor Auction where counselors and some advisory staff auctioned themselves off to each bunk of campers and have a task or activity to do for them. I was part of the “Debs” auction (because we all need more DEBS in the world :-) of DebDeb, Debra and myself. We were in the middle of a 3 way tie (of the Debs division) and decided that they are all winners and they will each receive a boat ride and pizza from us. Fourth of July was another big part of our week. We started off our day with an all camp patriotic rap battle followed by a rotation of different fun activity stations. We then painted our counselors and sang our national anthem along with having the counselors singing their national anthems from their respective countries. We ended our day with a cook out and fireworks. We saw a magnificent firework display at our friend, Berkshire Bob’s home. The Debs splashed around and we all enjoyed evening swimming on Wednesday evening after a day where many of the Debs participated in the Debs softball game, swimming tournament and a cheerleading competition. Romaca came in first place when we hosted the Romaca track meet. I loved watching the girls work as a team and do so well.

The girls are packing their bags and getting themselves ready for their Debs Hike. I can’t wait to hear all of their amazing stories. They have been doing a great job in their activities, working hard and having a ton of fun! It was a great week, and we are expecting another amazing week to come.

Enjoy your week!!! and I can’t believe I will see you all next week!
