Clubhouse 7, Week 5

Hello Clubhouse Families!

Whew! It is GREAT to be back at camp! Newport was an incredible trip, and the ladies of Clubhouse loved every moment, but they could not wait to be back at camp.

There have been some special moments this week…

After an impromptu bunk party that they planned all by themselves-soup to nuts, we had a surprise social with the boys of Winadu, who decided last minute that they would like to see our wonderful ladies one more time this summer. We waited until the last minute to tell the girls who were ecstatic - screaming, shouting and even tearing up as we told them the news. We decided to switch things up this time, and instead of a dance, the girls played “Statues” with the boys, separated into teams and acting out prescribed scenarios. It was a riot, and the girls seemed to love the ability to be silly with the boys and just be themselves.

This week, the girls are looking forward to Birthday Night, Deb Carnival, Apache Relay and a whole slew of camp-wide activities. Grandparents Visiting Day is this Sunday and the girls are almost as excited as they were for Visiting Day. As the weeks go by, and the end draws near, Olympics and the inevitable breakout are all anyone can talk about. The anticipation is mounting, and the girls are on edge with excitement. It is bound to be an incredible couple of weeks ahead, and we cannot wait to see what is in store! Fondly,

Lauren
