Clubhouse 7, Week 2

Hello again Clubhouse families!

What a whirlwind this past week has been! The girls went on their hike this past Sunday thru Monday, and although they may have moaned about having to go, their spirits were high and they were incredibly motivated and determined to reach the peak. All of the Hiking staff say that this hike was one of the best they have seen, not only because the girls were such troopers, but that they were kind, compassionate and respectful throughout the grueling hike. I was so incredibly proud to hear this, though I was not at all surprised. This division is full of bright, loving, talented young women!

As you may know, Fourth of July celebrations at Camp Romaca are no joke, and the Clubhouse girls were in full red, white and blue regalia throughout the day- red pom pom headbands and blue tutus galore! Their patriotic rap during our annual Independence Day Rap Battle was hysterical, and their creativity and ingenuity was quite apparent. Paint Your Counselor is always a highlight of my day each year, and our Clubhouse girls were in full paint war mode: their 12 counselors were splattered in bluish red hues, faces covered in smeared paint and grinning ear to ear. The day came to an end with a spectacular fireworks display at Berkshire Bob’s, and amongst the loud crackles and explosions, one could hear the collective “ooo’s” and “ahh’s” of the Romacan crowd. It was truly an incredible night.

This upcoming week looks as if it will be just as fun-filled! We have another social, a trip to a Pittsfield Sun’s game, tournaments and the Annex show of Bring It On!

Each and every day I am reminded of how incredible your children are, and I am so delighted to be spending the summer with them! I hope your July Fourth was as spectacular as ours, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!

Best,

Lauren Feldman
