Clubhouse 7, Week One

Hello Clubhouse Families,

We have enjoyed a beautiful week thus far-the sun has been shining, and the girls have been out and about enjoying the Berkshire air!

Your girls have had so much fun this past week, especially during Get To Know your Camper. They wrote a song joking about puberty, their friendships and silly bunk moments, and the socials they will have. They were so cute finally all united as one mass of “pink ladies” as one big bunk on stage. They have been grinning with pride as they officially take on the role of being a Senior B-and even started a spontaneous Senior B dance party on the second night of camp. They have had a blast at activity periods: playing tennis, working out in the fitness center, and making tons of bracelets and crafts for one-another in Creative Arts.

Some of our favorite activities this week have been the several group bonding pow-wows at the end of each day. When the girls get back to the bunk, they quickly change into PJs and all congregate in the center room, sitting in a circle to chat about life, friendships, and what they want to do and be this summer. They are anxiously anticipating their socials with Greylock and Winadu, their play auditions and all of the special events yet to come.

I love the way they have all banded together this week, really focusing on becoming a cohesive, kind, compassionate group of 25 friends and sisters. I have seen several girls go out of their comfort zones and reach out to a camper they have yet to know, and it has been such a thrill for me to witness them growing into this Senior B role as some of the elder girls on camp. They have truly embraced becoming role models to the younger campers.

I am so thrilled to be here this summer and I cannot wait to see how the summer unfolds.

Have a great week! Lauren
