Annex Week 6

Annex Week 6

Hello Annex Families,

As we lead into our final week of summer 2016 the girls are super excited for all the big events to come and of course it’s time to get BUSY BUSY BUSY with the big B!

This past week has been jam packed once again. The girls all had lovely mornings with their grandparents last sunday and luckily the rain stayed away so they could get outside… and those without grandparents visiting, well we had a feast… lots of leftover candy and chips and even hummus! Myself, the counselors and a few of the girls all spent the morning together playing games. Then at lunch they got a visit from nana jess and grandma margo (We looked more like great-grandmas).

Following this we had apache relay.. The camp broke off into green and white working their way around camp through obstacles and tasks. I got the privilege of being at the no-hands dessert eating competition with two of our girls… chocolate pudding absolutely everywhere!! And of course to finish the girls did an AMAZING job of running back and forth collecting wood for Romrec to burn that rope!

By this point the fact that olympics had not broke out was quite bothersome to them. But after a busy day and a fun counselor auction… everyone was called to the tennis courts… was it finally time? YES!!! I will leave your girls to give you full details of the breakout but it was definitely one for the books.

Our four lieutenants were named and led the rest of the girls and their teams: Hungary, Chile, France and Japan all the way to the end. Lots of late nights, the Senior B’s wrote Sing for their whole team followed by very busy days swimming, playing basketball, small crafts, and climbing just to name a few! All teams walked around camp with great spirits cheering loud for their team the whole time. And as you all may have heard by now HUNGARY was the winner!

We have Secret Show tomorrow, final campfire on Monday, Counselor Show Tuesday, WEDNESDAY IS BANQUET, Thursday is wish night and FRIDAY… you get your amazing girls back!!! It’s been one amazing summer getting to know all 25 of these beautiful young ladies and I cannot wait to see what this last week brings to them!

Warmly,

Jess
