Senior A’s Week 1
We are so proud of the Senior A’s! They have seamlessly stepped into their roles as BIG camp sisters and take their jobs very seriously. The little ones absolutely love having them to look up to. They are thrilled to have Senior Choice schedules and love all of the independence that comes with it. Now they participate with all Senior B campers in each activity area, which makes them feel “super grown up” of course. They were so brave to be the first division to go on their overnight hike and they did NOT complain; they conquered it! They even came back with smiles on their faces (but that might have been because of the Fribbles ;-)! They have already had two socials and they loved every second of them-strutting their confident selves with the boys. We always do our obligatory social outfit “check” (affectionately known at Romaca as the “5 B’s”) so they know we are always watching-and the cutest part is-they really want their Head Counselors’ approval. This is a very big summer for them-finally having a taste of Senior B-hood, but not quite ready yet. This is where they put their middle school angst behind them and let go of their inhibitions and play. After a long school year, they are finally free to be themselves-something they need so much after 6th grade. We love to guide them through this summer, when needed, because we know the magic of living together under one roof is (hard to believe) only one summer away. The Senior A’s are heading in the right direction!
