Trainees & Floaters, Week 6

Hello Trainee and Floater parents!

The girls are having so much fun settling into their roles and spending some much needed and well-deserved girl time together with their closest friends. As their school years become even more demanding, they cherish their time here each summer even more than before. Our 4 week Trainees and Floaters are still buzzing about (and strutting their new BU attire) their college visits when they first arrived. We all had a great time touring Tufts, UMASS, BU and Northeastern. They had some great, insightful questions for the guides and got a great feel for the variety of Universities and their unique settings and programs. They enjoyed their delicious Boston meals and delighted in the fancy shops on Newbury St. It was a great way to kickoff their summer back at Romaca after they each had their own individual experiences for the first few weeks. They were so grateful to be back.

We are rounding the corner of our final week and your girls have been busy bees helping to organize our special events. They were amazing at setting up Apache Relay and are very dedicated as Romaca journalists while they document the Romaca Olympic games with great humor and creativity while they create The Torch. The group has even gotten off camp a few times to do some shopping at Target, grab a Starbucks, or eat a nice meal together-anything they do they, they do with so much energy!

As Alumni, they set a beautiful example of “passing the torch” to the Senior B’s as they celebrated gracefully from the sidelines and supported their “sisters” throughout these momentus special events. They took great pride in their role as Alumni and have embraced their responsibilites as part camper/part counselor with great joy and unity. We know they will be just as terrific as we begin our final week-starting with Secret Show on Sunday and their participation in Counselor Show next week!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and know your girls are having a blast together!

Take care,
